Waiting at the Louis Vuitton Cup: German sailor Jan Schoepe is posting the weather condition under his feet Heinrich Hecht / United Internet Team Germany

The second day of the Louis Vuitton Cup in Valencia is still in the doldrums.

As on the day before the match races could not take place, the wind was blowing with three to four knots only. The United Internet Team Germany would have raced Luna Rossa Challenge from Italy and China Team.

Today the wind was even weaker than the day before. The sailors on board the cup boats could do absolutely nothing. Tomorrow waiting could be more successful: 'I expect a slight change of the conditions. We can expect nine to twelve knots tomorrow', says Guillermo Altadill of the weather team at the United Internet Team Germany. He gives hope to the sailors and fans who are awaiting exciting match races.

The abandoned races will be made up at the next possibility: The duel against Luna Rossa Challenge will be taking place on Sunday (22nd April) as the second race, the race against China Team will be held on Monday. Tomorrow on Wednesday the races will continue as scheduled. Opponents to the United Internet Team Germany are Victory Challenge from Sweden and Mascalzone Latino Capitalia Team from Italy.
