A VHF Handheld Radio that Floats!

The IC-M33 doing its thing SW
A hand held radio is a great piece of gear to have on a boat – good for a million uses. If you’re going cruising – don’t leave home without one. But a piece of marine gear that’s ruined if it hits the water, just doesn’t take into account the precariousness of the environment, or the fallibility of sailors. Now Icom have come up with just the ticket.
It’s the world's first VHF marine transceiver that floats! If you drop the IC-M33 into water, the radio comes up to the surface so that you can easily retrieve it from out of the water. As the radio has rugged waterproof body, it will keep on working even after it has been submerged. Reliable marine communications that won't let you down in or out of your boat! When actually floating, the base of the radio is level with the water surface.
Please note that the radio is NOT meant to be used under water.
