Woolley and Overington lead 470 Nationals

The New Zealand 470 Championships are being sailed off Takapuna, as a prelude to Sail Auckland, and have attracted a fleet of 15 boats including three womens crews.

The series is being led by the top ranked crew of Geoff Woolley and Mark Overington, who enjoy an eight point lead over their long-standing rivals, the Keen brothers of Christchurch. A Swiss crew is third overall.

A point of interet is the injection of some of the top NZ crews from the 420's led by Carl Evans and Peter Burling who lie in fourth place overall.

The top female crew is Shelley Hesson and Bianca Barbarich-Bacher who are in ninth overall in the Open fleet.
