Lewmar establishes new distributor in Taiwan

Lewmar, the U.K. based international marine equipment manufacturer, effective this month. Marineware will be working under Lewmar Australasia Pty Ltd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary, in Sydney, Australia.

The appointment was announced today by Lewmar Australasia Pty Ltd Managing Director Carl Crafoord. Marineware Asia will be based in Taipei and will be responsible for business development for Lewmar and Navtec in Taiwan and China. All sales inquiries will be handled by the new Taiwan sales representative, Vincent Pang.

The announcement is part of Lewmar’s commitment to expand its business globally, especially in the rapidly expanding Taiwan market. Lewmar’s Carl Crafoord adds, 'We plan to establish a bonded warehouse in Taiwan enabling us to supply the busy Taiwanese yards quickly. Between our inventory in Taiwan, supplemented by an extensive stock in Sydney, we expect to provide near same day response to any product request.'
