Day 2 - Port of Napier P & Starling North Islands

A race start at the P class and Starling North Islands Napier October 2006 Event Media
In light southerly conditions and very shifty winds three races were completed in both classes. Placing’s varied considerably due to the fluky winds. In the P class Jamie Dawson of Auckland is leading due his consistently good results.

Whilst in the Starling class the contest has come down to match race between Jason Saunders and Sam Meech both of Tauranga with only one point separating them going into the last race.

Erica Lush Completes Bermuda 1-2 Regatta First Leg
While training for the Solitaire Du Figaro Rhode Island sailor Erica Lush completed the first leg of the Bermuda 1-2 regatta as the only woman skipper in the fleet. Lush sailed solo from Newport to Bermuda, handling a boat new to her, and rough sea state.
