Northshore Yachts have been built since 1973 with over 750 Northshore Yachts sailing around the country, more than any other modern production boat, either imported or Australian made.

Newly appointed Managing Director and major shareholder of Northshore Yachting Services Heath Walters is pleased to announce that in recent weeks, he with the backing of private equity investors, have acquired Northshore Yachts which will be operate in conjunction with the successful Boatmate Shipwright Services.

The business now stands as a key player in the Asia Pacific boating scene.

Northshore Yachting Services will continue to build and develop Australia's multi award winning Northshore Yacht range.

The Northshore production range runs from 31 feet up to 46 feet and includes the classic Northshore 38, the Scott Jutson designed, award winning Northshore 370 and 2003 Australian Sailboat of the year, Northshore 369.

With the addition of the shipwright and marine services of the Boatmate company, Heath and his team will drive a full experience from build to after sale maintenance and support.

Northshore owners have always been very loyal to the range with many owners up to their second and third Northshore or holding onto them for many years. The emphasis has always been on quality built boats that owners have been happy to maintain properly with excellent resale value. The company will be there to help its owners maintain their boats to the highest of standards.

The new management team isn’t just builders and business men but passionate sailors as well. Heath is a highly accomplished yachtsman with National Titles to his name along with offshore and international silverware on his mantle place at home. This will assure that Northshore boats are built by sailors for sailors.

The Northshore Yacht range will go through a steady logical phase of refreshing that will see design and construction practices modernised while keeping the well know Northshore styling alive and well. A new 46 footer has already been commissioned with designs being released at the upcoming Sydney Boat show in August.

In addition to the Northshore production range, the company is also now working with designers and owners to build custom boats.

As more and more Australian boat builders have either gone offshore to build outside of Australia or moved up scale to the big maxi end of town, Northshore Yachting intends to cater for those experienced yachtsman that want that special 30 to 50 footer built to order where they can work with the designers and builders directly.
