Day 2 - 2006 Soling Europeans

by Matias Collins on 17 May 2006 On the second day of the 2006 Soling Europeans and second Mercedes Benz Grand Prix the wind blew with an average of 7 and some gusts of 12 knots from the North - north west.

Two windward leeward courses race had also a great consistency from the MKA Ukrainian team with Pichuguin, Timokhov and Chehlately who again placed a second in the first race and a first in the second race as on the first day of racing finishing with 6 points and the overall lead.

Two teams one NOR128 Wild Thing and GER300 the MARINEPOOL team were OCS in the second race leaving the day for T-Mobile team HUN 77 with Wossala, Vezer and Nemeth who won the first race and with a 5th in the second went into second place overall with 20 points.

Best palced British boat are Derek Priestley, Shaun Priestley and Gary Adams in sixteenth place overall.
