FRENCH SKIPPER SEALS SPORTS BOAT TITLE WITH C'EST LA VIE.
by Ian Grant on 26 Aug 2000
Former French Kiss America's Cup sailor Pierre Gal claimed another major career trophy when he steered his speed sailing Sports yacht C'est La Vie to a commanding win in her Hahn Premium Race Week class championship yesterday.
Gal support by a crew of talented sailors from Coffs Harbour revelled in the light wind series scoring a 1-3-1-1-1 to leave the equally impressive Brisbane Sports yacht Buckle Up Spanky (Mark Matthews) and New Zealands Bohica (Phil Houghton) to settle the battle for the minor places in the championship today,
Buckle Up Spanky has produced unmatched speed on the spinnaker reaches and this could prove to be her advantage when Matthews and crew set their race plans in place for what will prove to be an interesting race.
