Young and Hewitt lead RS K6 Open at HISC

Paul Young and Andy Hewitt of Hayling Island SC lead the RS K6 Open Meeting after the first day with three races sailed in the Bay.

Young and Hewitt won the first with David Hitchcock and Ian Nicholson (HISC) in second and Peter Kirkby and Richard Bates of Queen Mary SC third. The second race was a rerun with Young and Hewitt agin winning ahead of Hitchcock and Nicholson with Kirkby and Bates third.

Race three was a win for Bill Masterman and Dan Mountifield (HISC) won the third with Ian Robson and Sandy Johnson, Aldeburch YC, second. Third were a remarkably consistant Kirkby and Bates.

Overall Young and Hewitt lead, Kirkby and Bates second, Masterman and Mountifield third.
