Calling all sponsors for YCOLB Charity Regatta

by Sean Downey / Sail-World.com on 23 Jun 2005
Sabots, sabots everywhere and not a one did sink Sean Downey - www.blastreach.com
The nineteenth running of the Yacht Clubs of Long Beach Charity Regatta, benefiting The Children’s Clinic is only three months away.

The planning committee for the event has been hard at work for the past nine months with preparations for this great event which assists a great organization. Sponsors have been coming in, but more are needed.

The deadline for sponsors to have their logo printed on regalia and the Notice of Race is July 19, 2005. Of course sponsors are welcome at all times, but this is the most opportune time to get the most exposure while supporting a great cause.

Other events planned are a Swapmeet and pancake breakfast, July 9, and a Golf Tournament August 6.

About The Children’s Clinic:

The Children's Clinic, Serving Children and Their Families (TCC), founded in 1939 by a group of local physicians and community leaders, is an independent non-profit licensed community clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive health care in a culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate manner to medically underserved, low-income and high-risk populations in Long Beach and surrounding communities.

TCC provides care for the most underserved in the community. To be eligible for services, a child or adult must be uninsured, underinsured, or a Medi-Cal recipient. Families are asked to contribute to their care according to a sliding fee scale, yet no one is refused care because of an inability to pay.

The Children's Clinic provides medical care and counseling for well-child visits; acute and chronic care; community outreach and education; immunizations; laboratory testing; prescribed medications; linkage to community resources; evening and Saturday morning hours; and an Adult Clinic.
