Caribbean cruising

by Jennifer Hall on 24 Feb 2005
Nautor Swan's premier pure cruising event, the ClubSwan Caribbean rendezvous to be held amongst the British Virgin Islands from April 4-9 will be enjoyed by Swan owners from around the world at the Caribbean's most popular cruising destination.

The Bitter End Yacht Club (BEYC) will host members, guests and friends for a leisurely calendar of events, against a backdrop of stunning island scenery.

Situated on one of the larger British Virgin Islands, Virgin Gorda, The Bitter End Yacht Club draws an exclusive set of guests year round, and is a mecca for sailors, divers and lovers of all watersports. The beautiful islands of the BVIs are the perfect location for members of ClubSwan to enjoy easy, relaxed cruising and glamorous evening events.

At a welcome reception and dinner on Monday 4 April, within the exclusive surroundings of the BEYC, guests will be able to relax, rekindle old friendships and meet fellow Swan owners.

The programme of events will begin with a fun race to Cooper Island on Tuesday 5th, followed by sunset drinks at the Cooper Island Beach Resort.

Various excursions and evening receptions are planned throughout the rest of the rendezvous, including a stop at the uninhabited 'picture perfect' island Sandy Cay, and dinner and cocktails at the famous Pussers Landing restaurant on Marina Cay.

The relaxed 'Round Virgin Gorda' race on Saturday 9th will signal the end of the regatta and the final prize giving dinner at Almond Walk that evening will give crews and guests an opportunity to exchange tales from the week and make plans for the next event.
