Coast Guard authorities search for a person in the water off Plymouth

The Coast Guard is searching for a possible person in the water Monday after an overturned kayak was spotted off Duxbury Pier Light (Bug Light), in Plymouth Harbor, Massachusetts. A local fisherman spotted an overturned, unmarked 10-foot lime green kayak with a paddle at about 4 a.m. and reported it to watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston. Coast Guard Station Scituate launched a 29-foot response boat crew and Air Station Cape Cod launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew. Also searching is the Duxbury and Plymouth Harbormasters and the Plymouth Fire Department.
