Too much sailing is really never enough, another giant month for Sail-World, now topping 150,000 unique visitors in 2004.

As anticipated, the mainstream media ignored sailing again this month.

However, Sail-World, the largest sailing web site in the southern hemisphere was once again the mainstay for serious sailors. Sail-World had nine new record days as its online traffic went ballistic.

Anticipating heavy traffic might slow down the Sail-World server; we had already added a fast loading text only news for mobile phones, pda’s and slow dial up connections.

Now our newsletter subscribers can receive text only newsletter for rapid download and printed week newsletters (ala Daily Sail) will be an option.

From next week, subscribers will have a choice of receiving three or more newsletters a week, or a Friday summary of the Sailing Week, a Friday printed newsletter or a monthly summary.

Subscribers will be able to switch between frequency & format, via their own pass worded subscription box.

Over the coming weeks, Sail-World will bring you more interviews with our Athens sailors, as they look back on what might have been and look forward to their futures.

Our Paralympic Team will be sailing in Athens and Sail-World will be providing daily reports.

Now the Spring sailing season is approaching with sailing clubs across Australia preparing for a big weekend.

Today was the first day of the Rolex Maxi World’s, with Wild Oats bursting onto the stage.

Skandia is about to sail north to Hong Kong and the China to Vietnam race. Konica Minolta is on her way back to her Wellington boat yard for some pre-Hobart go fast.

Australia’s own Nick Moloney is preparing for his Vendee Globe round the world and Sail-World will take you aboard his Open 60 Skandia, every day of his voyage.

Please ensure your club sends all its latest news to Sail-World. It’s the NOW source of sailing news.

Last weekend, Olympic Finn sailor, Anthony ‘Nocka’ Nossiter (normally one of the most modest of sailors), agreed with Sail-World Editor Di Pearson, who wants sailors nationwide to help increase mainstream media interest in sailing by taking off their Musto’s and more.

Who knows, will this new promotional slogan work?

Go fast, go nude, go sailing!!

while you are waiting for the mainstream media to swing its focus to you and the honey on the foredeck in the buff…
