Sailors of all ages and persuasions turned out on Monday to compete in the Ports of Auckland Anniversary Regatta. This was the 176th edition of the regatta to mark the founding of Auckland. The first was held in 1840.

The Junior and Youth classes held their Auckland Championships at Maraetai Beach to the east of Auckland sailing Green and regular fleet Optimists and Starlings as part of the Anniversary Day Regatta.
The features on the harbour was the Tugboat race, and the Classic keelers who returned from their annual regatta at Mahurangi for the occasion.
