Rolex Sydney Hobart - Balance Takes Tattersall's Trophy

Paul Clitheroe and the crew of the TP52 Balance were presented with the Tattersall's Trophy at a dockside ceremony this morning here in Hobart.

The Balance team spent a restless night watching Shane Kearns' S and S 34 Quikkpoint Azzuro edge ever closer to the finish and threatening to wrest the trophy at the last minute.

But the fickle River Derwent finally put paid to their hopes and Balance was declared the winner at 9.30 this morning.

So uncertain of victory was the Balance team that several of the crew had flown back to Sydney yesterday and subsequently flew back to Hobart this morning in time for the prizegiving!

Quikkpoint Azzuro did not go away empty-handed as they claimed the Div 4 win on IRC, ORCi overall and the Corinthian Trophy.
