2016 Catalina Owners' Lake Macquarie Rendezvous - Action coming soon

by Rod Mackay on 25 Dec 2015 2016 Catalina Owners' Lake Macquarie Rendezvous - The 11th edition of the Catalina Owners Lake Macquarie Rendezvous will be held from January 8-10, 2016 at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, Belmont. This regatta is for the owners and guests of Catalina yachts who have got over the silly season and will look forward to sailing on beautiful Lake Macquarie for some fun and sun.

The itinerary is as follows:

• Gather at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, Belmont on Friday, January 8 (Marina pens and moorings can be arranged)
• Fun (non-spinnaker) race/sail past around beautiful Pulbah Island on the Saturday afternoon. Some great prizes are on offer, including the perpetual Catalina Cup.
• Informal get-together at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club Toronto Friday night, and prize presentation/dinner Saturday night, at the “Salty Dog Bistro” restaurant on site at the club.
• A leisurely cruise down the Lake on Sunday (January 10) and raft up at Styles Point for those who wish to come along. An overnight extension of this raft up is being planned by some and should be fun like last year!
