Lee Parkhill captured the bronze medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games, the second Laser medal for Canada at a Major Games since its inception as an Olympic class in 1996. Touted as the performance of his career, Parkhill locked up six top three race results over the course of the seven-day event including three bullets against the world’s best.
Parkhill will join us at Sail Canada Conference to share the bits and pieces of the story we can only hear from the sailor himself…. the activities leading up to the event – including a fifth place finish at Rio’s Olympic Test event - through to the media demands on this medalist at Toronto 2015.
Sail Canada’s Sailor of the Month for August 2015 - Lee Parkhill - hails from the Oakville Yacht Squadron in Oakville, Ontario. A member of the Canadian Sailing Team since 2010, Lee is considered to be one of the top Olympic hopefuls for Canada in the Laser class. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph.
