A Sunshine Coast driver has had that horrible sinking feeling after his car went under water at a local boat ramp.
A rescue operation began at about midday at the boat ramp off Gympie Tce, Noosaville.
It took the crew from Clayton's Towing around 90 minutes to haul the vehicle out of the water as camera crews from local media watched on.
Noosa News photographer Geoff Potter told the Daily that the car, which had a kayak on top, rolled into the water and floated downstream towards Tewantin before it sunk.
The vehicle is expected to be a write-off.
