The Commodore of the San Diego Yacht Club, which has hosted three America's Cups and one America's Cup World Series, appeared on local TV, commenting on the apparent decision to award the 35th America's Cup to British Overseas Territory of Bermuda.
In this replay of the video, Commodore Chuck Sinks, deftly stays within the confines of not confirming that Bermuda has won the hosting rights. He is also questioned on why USA is not defending the America' Cup in USA.
San Diego was the final base for USA-17, the 120ft wingsailed trimaran, when she was working up prior to the 33rd America's Cup, and the City was a key part of the teams victory tour after that event.
