Safer Boating Week boosted by short, snappy, safety tips clip

Coastguard Boating Education releases Safe Boating Clip Joanne Glassford
Coastguard Boating Education has produced a short, snappy two minute motion-graphic as a great reminder of all the key boating safety tips.

Aimed at new and existing boaties alike, it aims to promote boating safety in a fun and engaging way. CBE General Manager Neil Murray says 'If every boatie took just two minutes to watch this short, engaging clip, and then put into action the few common-sense tips it contains, without doubt, lives would be saved'.

The boating safety tips it promotes are endorsed by the National Pleasure Boat Safety Forum and comes at an ideal time, during Safer Boating Week - the lead-up to Labour Weekend, and the start of the boating season for many New Zealanders.

Covering skipper responsibility, communication, weather, lifejackets and alcohol, the animation will get you started; the next step is to take a Coastguard Boating Education course.
