La Volvo Ocean Race en tu bolsillo

Disponible tanto para IOS (pinchar aquí para descargar) como para Android (pinchar aquí para descargar), la nueva app oficial de Volvo Ocean Race permitirá seguir la competición más larga del mundo como nunca antes. Un canal exclusivo digital, Life at the Extreme TV, emitirá eventos en directo desde la sede central en Alicante y los puertos de escala, así como una selección de los mejores vídeos.

Además, los seguidores de la vuelta al mundo por equipos podrán rastrear la flota, gracias al tracker que actualizará sus posiciones cada 10 segundos durante la cobertura en vivo (como las salidas y las regatas costeras), y cada tres horas el resto del tiempo.

Por otro lado, la aplicación se podrá configurar para que envíe a los usuarios notificaciones a medida, y poder seguir así toda la actualidad durante los nueve meses que dura el evento de 71.744 kilómetros. Estas alertas incluyen las secciones Últimas Noticias, En Directo, y Position Reports o ruedas de posiciones, que notificarán de cada movimiento en la flota, incidente en el agua, o suceso de cualquier otro tipo por email o SMS.

Información detallada sobre los equipos y la ruta permitirá poner nombre y rostro a los protagonistas de esta competición, y una selección de artículos y reportajes explicará la experiencias que viven día a día, tanto en el agua como entre bambalinas.

Así, la actualidad de los siete equipos que tomarán la salida de la costera el día 4 de octubre, y de la Etapa 1 de la vuelta al mundo el día 11, se podrá vivir en 2014-15 prácticamente en Volvo Ocean Race
