It's a venue worth waiting for!

It won't be long before Tasar sailors around Australia embark on their next Nationals regatta at Wallaroo Sailing club in South Australia. Located on the west coast of SA's stunning Yorke Peninsula, the venue boasts azure blue waters, basking sunshine and predominating SW breezes.

The Australian Tasar Council President, Blaise Vinot advised that the event will be run 'in a short format' with measurement on the 12 Jan 2026 followed by four days of racing. A total of eight races are scheduled. His advice for competitors is to book accommodation quickly, in view of it being peak holiday season around the country.

Competitors are asked to keep an eye out on Class social media posts and the Class world webpage for more information, including the Notice of Race which will be published soon!

Finally, adding excitement to our wonderful world of Tasar sailing, the Australians are heading offshore to race two World Championships in the near future. Firstly a double event European & Worlds at Lake Garda, Italy (14-21 July 2025) then Okinawa, Japan (5-12 June 2026).

To top it all off, the Class celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, honouring the Late Frank and wife Nel Bethwaite for the decades of research, modelling and support in perfecting the brilliant boat we have today!!

Pivot on this
I despise the way ‘pivot' got used as many times as those wretched QR codes... Yes indeed. As much as I would hate to take people back to the COVID era, that's exactly what I've just done.
