Success of the inaugural event in September 2003 has reflected in the extremely positive show of entries for the 2004 regatta to be sailed between Rogoznica and Dubrovnik this coming September.
So far 16 yachts have been chartered, with a 50:50 split between the cruising Beneteau and Jeanneau yachts and the more performance orientated Grand Soleils, of which the new Grand Soleil 45 and 50 are sure to attract a lot of attention.
The fleet has been capped at 20 yachts due to limitations imposed by the finite capacity of the party venues!
The same successful alternate race-day/lay-day format will be used during the two weeks of passage making between the offshore islands along the spectacular Dalmatian coast.
A detailed write-up of last year’s event and a 12 page feature on sailing in general in Croatia can be found in the February issue of Australian Yachting while the next issue of the CYCA magazine Offshore Yachting will also feature the Croatia sailing story by noted travel journalist John Borthwick.
