After 46 years, SAP and the Kieler Yacht Club welcome back the SAP 5O5 World Championship to Kiel. With more than 170 teams entered from 16 nations starting on August 13, the SAP 505 World Championship is shaping up to be one of the toughest challenges on the international sailing circuit this year.

With SAP as title sponsor, sailors and coaches can once again enjoy daily debriefs using SAP Sailing Analytics. Friends and Families will be able to follow the excitement on the water live from the SAP Sail Cube. The Sail Cube serves as the go to point for fans to track the races on the analytics or just follow the live stream which is also produced within the TV studio on top of the cube.

Simple logistics and short distances is what make this World Championship so special. Sailors will assemble in the SAP Sailors Lounge for breakfasts and briefings, but also to get last minute information through the sailing analytics that will be available throughout the regatta. At the end of every day the sailors will return to the SAP Sailors Lounge to not only enjoy cold drinks with their competitors, but also for the sailing and technology experts giving insights on the performances of the day.

From August 16 fans can follow every second of every race of the SAP 5O5 World Championship in real –time in front of the Sail Cube. Sailing experts Andy Rice, Alec Wilkinson and Marcus Baur will present the final days of racing after the Layday on August 19. Fans will be able to watch every minute live on SAP 505 Worlds.

The last highlight for the sailors of the 2014 SAP 5O5 World Championship will be the KYC Prize Giving Ceremony at Hotel Kieler Yacht Club when they can toast their newly crowned 5O5 World Champion.

The starting signal is given in Kiel, Germany on August 13 with the Pre-Worlds Regatta, followed by the SAP 5O5 World Championship from August 16-22.
