Ferretti 'Service University' 2014, in Hong Kong Ferretti Group www.ferrettigroup.com
On 8 July, in Hong Kong, the curtain came down on the first edition of the Service University (Ferretti Group's professional training and refresher courses school) to be held in the Asian Pacific region and targeted at all the Group’s official service network operators in this region. More than 30 professionals yachting sector service professionals from China, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, India took part in a week of world-class training and refresher courses.

The training programme, conceived to enhance the skills and professionalism of Asia Pacific official service network operators, also included dedicated sessions and involved some of the leading suppliers of equipment and handling systems installed on Ferretti Group yachts.

For over 25 years Ferretti Group has been organising training meetings for its Dealers and Service Points, so as to guarantee top-notch services to its customers all over the world. Besides the traditional sessions normally held in Europe and the editions held in Italy specifically for operators from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and the Americas, since 2010 on-site activities have been intensified in these two important areas too.

This is a very significant event, one year after the new office in Hong Kong was opened, underlining Ferretti Group’s strategy of always aiming to meet the needs of individual markets, focusing on their specific features and requirements.

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said, 'This edition of the Service University, held in Asia, is part of a wider project, launched several years ago and constantly evolving, aimed at always moving closer and closer to the markets where we are present, and to our customers. I was delighted to see so many professionals from the yachting sector participate in the event - both historical ones and others that have only recently joined the large Ferretti family'.

The training, organised by the Group’s After Sales & Service team, took place over five days and included both theoretical and practical sessions. Several on-board system specialists, including representatives from MAN Engines, NAVIOP, TWIND DISC, IDROMAR, and CONDARIA, held outstanding lessons. In some cases bench tests were also performed in the classrooms, allowing the participants to take part in practical troubleshooting activities.

During the training week, specific boat usage and maintenance issues were dealt with, thanks to the cooperation of Antonio Campagnuolo, Ferretti Group Product Management Officer, who provided details on the various systems, the new features, and the usage requirements of the most recent models built by the Group, particularly Ferretti Yachts 960, 690 and 750, Pershing 62, Riva 86' Domino and 122' Mythos.

All participants expressed their great appreciation for the courses, at the end of which they received an attendance certificate.
As usual, this annual training will be joined by already-scheduled visits to the various dealers and service points, so as to perform on-the-job training activities on board the yachts.
