As we enter the winter months and the iconic cruising season in the Whitsundays, it has now been a year since I purchased Abell Point Marina. In this time, the team at Abell Point have implemented some amazing developments across the precinct with the end goal of creating the Whitsundays most vibrant marina. As a mainland marina we are confident in providing our customers with outstanding choice, exceptional personalised service and an atmosphere that is refreshingly down to earth.

The developments throughout the North and South Marina Village have transformed the face of the marina with new arrival-departure plaza for travelling guests, bar and dining options including Barcelona Tapas Bar and extension at Sorrentos Restaurant and a range of new walkways and open space areas on the marina foreshore.

We are excited to have started the dredging project which will improve tide access and allow for a greater range of vessels to transit the marina.

Make sure you visit for a few upcoming events including the Airlie Beach Race Week, Shag Islet Rendezvous and the new Abell Point Yacht Club Sunset Series.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the revitalised new Abell Point precinct and make sure you book your berth soon as berths are now limited.

A look at The Ocean Cleanup and its the 30 Cities Program The cliche goes that one should avoid meeting one's heroes, as there's always a chance that the flesh-and-blood person might not live up to expectations. While I've never met Boyan Slat, I'd gladly take this risk.
