Specialist charter agency, The Luxury Charter Group has started 2014 with additions to the team, which now spans the Asia-Pacific, US and Europe, to meet the growing demand for international charter advice and service.

Founder and principal of The Luxury Charter Group, Jeni Tidmarsh has 25 years’ experience in luxury charters, carving a niche for LCG as the independent global charter organisation with a vast and varied portfolio of yachts.

Tidmarsh began her yachting career in the mid-70s, cruising the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the South Pacific, and since then has remained in the yachting industry, accumulating years of experience in marine tourism, including yacht ownership, racing, marine media, marina development, the travel industry and extensive exploration of the world’s most popular charter destinations.

Through attending all the major international brokerage shows and events, inspecting yachts and meeting captains and crews, Tidmarsh has developed unrivalled relationships with proponents at every level of the luxury charter yacht industry.

Sharon Bahmer joined the Luxury Charter Group as Senior Charter Executive, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The majority of her clients are resident in the US, however she also has an extensive international clientele seeking charter itineraries in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and the Mediterranean.

With three decades of experience across the complete spectrum of luxury yacht charters, Bahmer brings her zeal and expertise to the Group, along with the ethos of creating the perfect match between client, charter vessel and destinations.

Bahmer is a member of the Board of Directors and is Vice President of the Charter Yacht Brokers Association. She was previously Chair of the organisation’s Education Sub-committee, a unit which has as its goal the education of charter brokers about issues and trends across the industry. Sharon is also a member in good standing of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.

Based in Europe, Radek Gendek has joined Luxury Charter Group to manage the company’s presence and clients based in Europe.

Radek was born in Gdansk, Poland, the home of Sunreef Yachts shipyard, where he worked as charter director for several years. Fluent in English, French and Polish and a member of Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association, Radek is a highly qualified charter professional whose insight and expertise ensures clients are matched with their ideal yacht and itinerary.

Along with his valuable first-hand experience of the world’s most desirable charter destinations, Radek is a regular visitor to the boat shows of Europe, Caribbean and the US, giving him insight into the latest cruising destinations, charter yacht fleets and crew.

Now three-strong, and together with more than four decades of accumulated experience, The Luxury Charter Group is avid in its work inspecting yachts at boat and charter shows the world over.

'We inspect at least 400 yachts a year attending all the major international charter yacht shows worldwide, continually refreshing our knowledge to ensure clients get the most up-to-date charter advice and expertise,' explains Tidmarsh.
The team attends events in Genoa, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Cannes, Monaco, Tortola, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Antigua, reinforcing their links with captains, crew and owners.

'We are always working in the interests of our charter clients, travelling the world, visiting existing charter destinations, looking for exciting new cruising opportunities, and inspecting all types of yachts for inclusion in our portfolio of luxury charter vessels.

'We have also personally explored and sailed many favourite charter destinations around the world. Most recently, we have personally cruised British Virgin islands and Antigua in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, Amalfi Coast/Gulf of Naples, Turkish Coastline, Greek Islands, Croatia's Dalmatian Coast in Europe and Galapagos, Tahiti, New Zealand and the Whitsunday islands of Australia in the South Pacific region.'

The Luxury Charter Group is dedicated to 'professional and personalised service', matching clients to the yachts, destinations and experiences that suit their exacting requirements.

This unwavering focus ensures clientele regularly return to The Luxury Charter Group for their advice on their next adventures afloat, as well as referring their friends and family to LCG to realise the charter of their dreams.
