Canadian Sailing Team prepare for Laser North Americans

by CST Media on 17 Jul 2013
july training claire merry
Leading up to the Laser and Radial North Americans the Canadian team has relocated to Kingston to take advantage of the conditions.

Last Claire Merry week didn't disappoint even though the forecast looked grim. The Laser team lead by Steve Mitchell worked on honing their overall racing skills. The radial team with coach Chris Cook continued their work on upwind boat speed. This speed training saw the team leaving the confines of Kingston waters and heading out past Wolfe Island for more consistent and stronger breeze as well as a better sea state. The coming week will be a tough one with sea breezes expected for most of the week. Stay tuned for more updates and photos.
