Grand Banks’ Hank Compton and his team on Queensland’s Gold Coast are celebrating the nomination of Ocean Alexander in two categories of the annual Asia Boating Awards.

In an agreement between Grand Banks and Ocean Alexander, Compton now represents the Taiwan boat builder throughout Australasia, expanding his role as Asia Pacific Managing Director for Grand Banks.

'My team has built an enviable reputation for service to our Grand Banks clients over the past three years,' said Compton. 'We are delighted that this is recognised by the prestigious superyacht builder Ocean Alexander.'

The Asia Boating Awards listed Ocean Alexander as a finalist in the 'Best Asian Yacht Builder (30m and up) and 'Best Asian Built Yacht' for the Ocean Alexander 90 Motoryacht.

'This is a great achievement and a wonderful beginning for our relationship with Ocean Alexander,' said Compton.

Ocean Alexander will share the Grand Banks dealership space at Hope Island Marina on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Compton’s new responsibilities come on top of the team’s continuing sales success with Grand Banks.

'The two brands are a perfect fit for us,' explained Compton. 'Grand Banks is an iconic brand in the mid-size luxury cruiser market and Ocean Alexander takes our capabilities to offer a magnificent motoryacht to clients who are looking for something in the superyacht category.'
