Now on THM, Jason Wilhelm Honda Marine (Australia) http://www.honda.com.au
Honda Australia’s customer loyalty program Team Honda Marine (THM) continues to gain profile with national fishing identity Jason Wilhelm recently signing as a THM Pro Angler.

A keen angler since childhood, Gladstone-based (QLD) Wilhelm is a distinguished tournament angler, winning at the highest level on the ABT and AFC tournament circuits.

Honda Australia marine manager Robert Johnson said having people of this calibre onboard with THM was further testament to Honda’s legendary performance and reliability.

'Anglers like Jason, who are on the water more than most of us, are really in tune with what’s hot and what’s not… they choose to use only the best products,' Mr Johnson said.

'Along with fishing media identity Al McGlashan and southeast Queensland personality Dave ‘Nugget’ Downie, who both recently re-signed with THM, having Jason choose Honda further reinforces the brand’s position as an absolute premium product.'

Taking a step back from competitive fishing these days (finishing with a number one ranking in the 2010-2011 ABT Barra circuit), Wilhelm is kept busy with his commitments as a contributor to many of the country’s leading fishing/boating magazines, presentations at tackle stores and fishing clubs, and with his sportfishing charter business.

His latest boat – a new Edgewater 188CC – has been fitted with a class-leading Honda BF150. Beneath its new aquamarine silver cowl, the BF150 incorporates exclusive Honda technologies including BLAST – advanced ignition timing control system that significantly improves hole-shot performance; ECOmo – sophisticated lean burn fuel control system, which contributes to the engine's excellent fuel economy; and VTEC – variable valve timing technology originally developed for Formula One race cars to deliver incredible power.

Wilhelm said he was enjoying being back on the water with absolute confidence.

'Regardless of the sponsorship deals proposed by some companies, it has always been about product choice for me – that way I can stand behind it 100 per cent,' he said.

'With my charter business, in particular, everything has to be up to the task – every time, without exception – and I know Honda delivers that.

'I’m also really looking forward to sharing my fishing experience with other THM members.'

THM was launched mid-2010 as the marine industry's first customer loyalty program. Promoting environmentally-friendly fishing and boating, THM’s interactive website encourages members’ participation through competitions, blogs, special offers and more.
