Finn Grand Slam Leg 6 at beautiful Silvaplana

by Robert Deaves 5 Sep 12:14 PDT 3-6 September 2026

Undoubtedly the most beautiful destination on the 2026 World Tour for Finns Grand Slam, Leg 6: Grand Slam Silvaplana runs from 3-6 September. 54 Finn sailors from eight nations are taking part.

The imagery is out of this world. While the famous lake turned on the wind machine on Friday, both Thursday and Saturday were lost, though hope remains that the wind will return for the final day on Sunday.

The leader after four races is Switzerland's Simon Bovay leading a home nation top three ahead of Peter Theurer and Christoph Burger.

While the championship is secure with four races sailed, one more is needed for a discard, and three races scheduled for Sunday, with a much better forecast.
