Finn Masters head to Mar Menor for European Masters Titles 2026

Five years after the hugely successful 2021 Finn World Masters, the Finn fleet will return to the Mar Menor, in Murcia, Spain, this October for the 2026 Finn European Masters. Entry is open and the Notice of Race is published on the event site.

The 2026 Finn European Masters from 16-23 October, is being organised by the Murcia Sailing Federation at the Centro de Tecnificación Deportiva in Los Alcázares, an idyllic location for sailing and for enjoying an autumn sailing event in great company.
In 2021, at what was a difficult time for sporting events in the pandemic, the local organisers put on a spectacular show on and off the water, with amazing hospitality, after race socials and an incredible mid-week dinner with an atmosphere of celebration, respect and fun in the midst of a world crisis. 108 sailors from 20 nations took part then, but in 2026 more than double that number are expected.
The Finn European Masters is only held occasionally, when one of the class world championships is held outside Europe. With both the Finn God Cup and Finn World Masters held in Brisbane, Australia in February, this is only the second major Finn championship in Europe this year and expected to be very popular.
The format of the event will follow the standard format for the Finn World Masters with eight races scheduled over five days.
