Wednesday was a rest day in Tilos for the sailors participating in the 29th Rhodes Cup, organized by the Rhodes Offshore Sailing Association.
After the first two races (Kos-Nisyros-Tilos), the 2026 Rhodes Cup makes an extended stopover so the sailors can recharge, enjoy local hospitality, and explore the island. An island of singular natural beauty and authentic island character, Tilos offers tranquility and warm hospitality.
The island of dwarf elephants boasts nineteen beaches, twelve mountains with natural springs, seven medieval castles, a Byzantine monastery, two hundred churches, a cave with numerous archaeological sites, a historic village, more than one hundred species of birds, hundreds of species of wild flora, and nearly five hundred inhabitants.
