A memorable weekend for the X-Yachts Community

Midsummer holds a special place in Scandinavian culture, and this year it truly showed its best side as 15 X-Yachts and a total of 80 guests gathered in Juelsminde for the annual Community Event from June 19-21.
With clear blue skies, gentle breezes, and pleasant daytime temperatures of 24°C, the conditions could hardly have been more perfect.
Juelsminde is one of Denmark's most popular marinas. In addition to excellent facilities, the area offers a beautiful sandy beach and a wide range of culinary experiences, making it an ideal destination for a summer gathering.
The atmosphere was vibrant from the moment the first yachts arrived on Friday. The weekend's opening event—a wine tasting followed by a barbecue—was enjoyed in the warm evening sun. Sun-ripened strawberries with chocolate and homemade vanilla ice cream provided the perfect finishing touch. Old friends reunited, and many new connections were formed.
Late Friday evening, an Xc 47 flying the French flag arrived with a Spanish family on board. They received a warm welcome after sailing their new yacht from Northern France to Denmark to experience a Scandinavian summer.
On Saturday morning, the X-Yachts team delivered freshly baked breakfast pastries directly to the yachts before participants prepared for approximately two hours of friendly racing. All 15 yachts joined the race. With light winds, sunshine, and the competitive spirit that always accompanies an X-Yachts fleet, the start line was as lively as ever. Despite the close competition, the race was sailed in great spirit and with smiles all around.
Saturday evening concluded with a dinner for all participants at a local restaurant, and as expected, the celebrations continued aboard the yachts well into the midsummer night.
