The final countdown to the start of the 30th anniversary edition of The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille is now under way - and what a celebration is in prospect.

A milestone event for Europe's longest-standing superyacht regatta, 2026 will again see the unique mix of world-class superyacht racing and the informal owner-focused hospitality that sets The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille apart.

Its enduring appeal over three decades is this year celebrated by one of the largest entries the regatta has ever seen, with regular participants being joined by first-timers out on the ever-reliable Bay of Palma racecourse.

"We are beyond delighted to be able to welcome so many entries to our 30th anniversary," said Event Owner & Director Kate Branagh.

"And with a new Regatta Village layout thanks to our Venue Partner Club de Mar-Mallorca, we will have all the boats together again, stern-to next to the main event tent - it's a recreation of the atmosphere and the great dockside party vibe of our past."

The ability of The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille to preserve the best of its history, and evolve in a changing world, is further evidenced in 2026 by the presence of a game-changing multihull class for the first time ever, and a dedicated YYachts racing division.

In total five competitive racing classes will be taking to the water, the strong international fleet providing a spectacular and varied display of both classic and contemporary superyacht design.

Among the eye-catching returnees are the J Class yachts Rainbow and Svea, a familiar dynamic duo who will be racing each other head-to-head on a dedicated windward-leeward course and in their own class.

The exceptional quartet of multihulls taking part - Allegra, Gaea, Highland Fling and Layla - each with a selection of equally exceptional racing sailors aboard, will also have their own class and fleet start, with excitement guaranteed.

Those making a welcome return in the superyacht classes are the appropriately named two-time winner Win Win, the powerful Oyster Archelon, the 39m Tripp design Cervo, and the 27m Hoek Design Atalante 1, racing under new ownership

Equally welcome are those making their debut at The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille: the 58m Ron Holland designed Perini Navi ketch Burrasca, the elegant 30.9m Wally Inco and, from the Nautor Swan stable, the 30.5m Point Counter Point and Swan 88 Spiip.

Last, but in no way least, are six YYachts - featuring three Tripp Designs in the shape of the 23.80m Lucid and Distancia and the 29.71m Bella, the 23.80m Judel/Vrolijk Beati, the Brenta 80 Makai and Surge Projects Calabash, both coming in at 25.99m.

Calabash, designed by Mallorcan naval architect Javier Jaudenes and owned by YYachts, is the only returnee in this class, having made her debut in 2024. In contrast to the two-minute space between starts in the superyacht classes, the YYachts will have only a 60 second gap, ramping up the excitement.

Coincidentally YYachts, a Friend of The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille, are among several event Friends and Partners also celebrating significant anniversaries - their 10th. Meanwhile Title Sponsor Richard Mille and Carbo-Link are marking their 25th anniversary, Marinepool their 35th and Hoek a 40th.

The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille will get under way on Wednesday 24 June with Registration, the Safety and Captains' Briefings, and a Welcome Cocktail Party on the dock.

Racing starts with the Pantaenius Race on Thursday 25 June, which will later also feature the Owners' 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, held at St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca, and continues with the 30th Anniversary and St. Regis Races on the Friday and Saturday.
