The International Musto Skiff Class Association (IMSCA) has confirmed that it will once again partner with SailRacer to provide GPS tracking at the ACO Musto Skiff World Championship 2026, taking place in Carnac, France in early June.

SailRacer GPS tracking will include all the main championship races from 8-12 June, providing sailors, spectators and followers worldwide with access to detailed, real-time race data throughout the regatta week. Up to 14 races are planned, with three races scheduled each day from Monday to Thursday and two races for Friday's finale.

Each Musto Skiff boat will be equipped with a small, battery-powered tracking unit, recording GPS positions approximately every five seconds. This data is transmitted via onboard SIM and uploaded to the cloud, enabling a live 'bird's eye' view of the fleet. The data feeds into SailRacer's online tracking platform, allowing spectators to follow racing in near real-time from mobile devices, tablets or desktop.

Data-driven racing insight

The Musto Skiff class has previously partnered with SailRacer for its major regattas, most recently for their ACO Musto Skiff World Championship at Weymouth & Portsmouth in 2024.

The SailRacer platform provides a live leaderboard alongside dynamic, mark-by-mark scoring, delivering an engaging and evolving picture of the regatta standings.

The fleet will benefit from accessing advanced analysis tools, including leg-by-leg performance comparisons for speeds, times, tacking angles and VMGs and progressive analysis showing how the races unfolded each day. These insights can help Musto Skiff sailors to benchmark performance and learn from competitors across the fleet.

The addition of GPS tracking data for the 2026 regatta was made possible through the sponsorship support of Event Title Sponsor, ACO Group, who have been a long-standing supporter of the class and the Musto Skiff World Championship regattas for over two decades.
