The final day of the 29er EuroCup in Malcesine delivered a full showcase of Lake Garda's renowned wind systems, offering sailors a complete and demanding racing experience.

An early start at 08:30 allowed the fleet to take advantage of the northerly Peler, with two races completed in fresh and technical conditions. As the wind dropped, the Race Committee sent the fleet ashore under AP over H, waiting for the southerly Ora to build later in the day.

With the overall standings still open, the break provided a crucial moment for sailors to recover and refocus ahead of the final races. Shortly before 13:00, the fleet returned to the water as the Ora filled in, delivering ideal racing conditions for the decisive final two races of the event.

Intense battles unfolded across both Gold and Silver fleets, with every point proving decisive in a highly competitive field.

At the end of a demanding and high-level regatta, the overall victory was secured by Henric Wigforss / William Drakenberg (SWE). Second place went to Lukas Wagner / Valentin Ziegler (GER), followed by Alexandre Mostini / Raphaël Allain (FRA) in third.

Category Results

In the Mixed category, victory went to Emilia Salvatore and Pietro Rizzi (ITA), who also finished 4th overall. They were followed by Victoria Demutas and Ludovico Beretta (ITA) in second place, while third place was claimed by Karolina Lojkova and Kristian Bezusek (CZE).

In the Women's category, Bianca Marchesini and Lucia Finato (ITA) secured the top position. Second place went to Liva Beck and Anna Munkholm (DEN), who were also the first Over 18 Women team, while third place was taken by Pétronille Lescanne and Raphaëlle Kimbel (FRA).

In the Over 18 category, Mor Csekovszky and Martin Zarandy (HUN) secured first place.

The U17 category was won by Ethan Kiu and Louis Polson, followed by Alexis Hauzy and Jack Devaux (FRA) in second and Philippe Papin and Thibault Chambron (FRA) in third. Within the same division, Lahari Kommaravelly and Eswa Suragani (IND) were the first U17 female team, while Lara Aurora Hummel and Leon Vincent Hummel (SLO) were the first U17 mixed team.

Special Awards & Event Highlights

The event also recognised the youngest teams in the fleet, highlighting the international depth of the 29er class. The Youngest Female Team award went to Lahari Kommaravelly and Eswa Suragani (IND). The Youngest Mixed Team award was given to Lara Aurora Hummel and Leon Vincent Hummel (SLO), while the Youngest Male Team award was claimed by Filip Luka Butinar and David Jan (SLO).

Beyond the racing, the event offered a full programme of off-water activities, including the Cartoon Night and the "2 Minutes No Trace" sustainability initiative, reinforcing the class commitment to environmental awareness and responsible sailing. The after-race atmosphere was once again a key highlight of the event, creating a strong sense of community among sailors, coaches, and teams throughout the week.

A special thank you goes to Fraglia Vela Malcesine for the outstanding organization of the event, delivering once again a world-class regatta experience both on and off the water.

Special thanks also to Nautivela for supporting the event with prizes, including dedicated awards for the youngest teams and a prize lottery during the closing ceremony.

Sailors and teams leave Lake Garda with great memories and are already looking forward to returning next season.
