Nominations for Sail Canada Annual Awards are now open

Sail Canada is pleased to announce that nominations for its 2026 Annual Awards are now open.

Sail Canada is looking to receive nominations from the Canadian Sailing community to recognize outstanding sailors, athletes, coaches, instructors, officials, volunteers and events through one of Sail Canada's Annual Award categories, based on activities and performances that occurred from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

This includes for Sail Canada's new Cruising, Power, Navigation and Offshore Sailing Excellence Award, launched this year, and aiming to recognize exemplary seamanship, leadership, and contribution to Canada's cruising community through exceptional voyages, safety leadership, navigation excellence, or the advancement of cruising culture in Canada. The award will highlight individuals whose accomplishments extend beyond formal instruction and whose actions uphold, foster, and demonstrate the highest standards of safe, responsible, and inspirational cruising

Nomination forms for each of the awards are available online at www.sailing.ca/annual-national-awards. Once they have been filled out, they can be sent no later than February 13, 2026, to Sail Canada's National Office at .

The recipients of these awards will be honoured through the year.
