Entries are now open for Sandberg PalmaVela 2026, which has confirmed the dates for its two major events and will once again position Palma Bay and the Balearic archipelago as a key international hub for competitive sailing at the start of the European season.

The 2026 edition will feature two distinct racing formats, combining offshore challenge with high-intensity inshore competition and attracting top international fleets across multiple classes.

Two events, two racing styles

The first event will be La Larga - The Offshore Race of Sandberg PalmaVela, now in its sixth edition, taking place from 23 to 27 April 2026. Sailed across the waters of the Balearic archipelago, this offshore race is open to IRC, ORC and ORC A2 (double-handed) classes, with bespoke courses tailored to each fleet. For the fastest boats, race duration is expected to be up to 36 hours.

From 29 April to 3 May 2026, attention shifts to the second event: the 22nd Sandberg PalmaVela multiclass regatta, featuring a demanding programme in Palma Bay with windward-leeward and coastal courses.

Entries open until 23 March 2026

Entries must be completed online and will remain open until 23 March 2026. Further information on classes, notices and registration procedures is available through the official Sandberg PalmaVela channels.
