Stuart Hydon has again won the Lark Travellers' Trophy series, sponsored by Craftinsure, with son Nick and partner Ann Biglin sharing crewing duties.

Stuart wins the coveted Belle Isle Trophy - past winners of which is a roll-call of top Lark sailors - for a record 9th time (and Nick for a 6th time).

This year the Travellers series comprised 13 events ranging from Rock in Cornwall, to South Staffs SC in the Midlands and Waldringfield in Suffolk. An impressive 64 boats took part in the series. Turnouts to each event have increased year on year, providing close racing across Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets and enhancing the all-important social scene.

Team Hydon won 3 of the six events they sailed in, more than anyone else. They finished with 5pts from their best 4 races. However, they didn't have it all their way, with runners-up Ed Bradburn & Holly Evans finishing just one point behind (with two wins). Nigel Hufton and various crews (including Chris Whitehouse and Matt Wood) completed the podium, another 2pts behind (with one win).

Across all events, there were 10 winners, demonstrating the strength-in-depth in the class and varying strengths of each team.

Winners of the Silver fleet - in 6th place overall - were Nigel Scott & Tegwyn Tricker on 14 points. They also win the accolade of most-travelled, having sailed at 12 events! In 2nd place were George Graham & Jessica Hooker (22 points from 8 events), with 3rd going to Steve Chatten & various crews (31 pts from 6 events).

Winners of the Bronze Fleet were Philip Keranpram & Gery Ducatel, with Dee Wolff & Elise Lloyd in 2nd and Rhona Enkel (with various crews) in 3rd.

The class hopes to see all Lark sailors when the 2026 series kicks off at Barnt Green SC on 8 Feb/1 March 2026.
