The 2026 Sail Canada Sail East Championships will be held in Glen Haven, Nova Scotia, July 17-19, during the Bay Wind Regatta at the St. Margaret Sailing Club.

The 2026 Sail Canada Sail East Championships includes the 29er, Club 420, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and Optimist classes and is a great opportunity to compete in the Atlantic region.

Last year, over 140 competitors from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as from other provinces, including Ontario and Quebec, took part in the event held at the St. Margaret Sailing Club.

These competitions provide a chance for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region, in addition to serving as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, as development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, as well as training and development opportunities for officials and volunteers.

The Notice of race for this event will soon be available.

Sail Canada previously shared information about the following 2026 National and Regional Championship: Youth Fest: August 11-15, Kingston (ON).

Details regarding others Sail Canada National and Regional Championships will be communicated in the coming weeks.

Helly Hansen is the proud prize sponsor for the 2026 Sail Canada Championships.

Sail Canada Championships are funded - in part- by the Government of Canada.
