Finn World Ranking November 2025 - Laurent Hay returns to the top

Laurent Hay, from France, has returned to the top of the 10th Finn World Ranking list after another successful season, including wining the International Finn Cup Malcesine and the Spanish championship in Ibiza.

He was the first world No.1 in October 2022 before Italy's Alessandro Marega took the top spot in July 2024.

Marega now drops to second with the current European champion, Valerian Lebrun, from France, up to third, swapping places with Peter Peet, from The Netherlands, down to fourth. The biggest climber is Italy's Arkadii Kistavov, rising from 114th up to fifth. Peter Overup enters the top 10 for the first time, as does Australia's Rob McMillan moving up from 38th to ninth.

The new release uses results from 20 events since July across 17 countries.

  • South African Nationals, won by Georgou Divaris
  • Hungarian Nationals on Balaton, won by Tibor Pallay
  • Dutch Nationals in Medemblik, won by Peter Peet
  • International Finn Cup Malcesine, won by Laurent Hay
  • North American Championship at Newport Beach won by James Golden
  • German Nationals at Dümmer, won by Ondrej Teply
  • Brazilian Southeast Championship, won by Pedro Lodovici
  • Spanish Nationals in Ibiza, won by Laurent Hay

The 10th Finn World Ranking List is based on the World Tour for Finns, which includes around 60 events in 25 countries across the world. It now includes 1,398 sailors from 40 countries.

The next Finn World Ranking List will be released in March 2026.
