The Diam 24od is off to a busy start! The return of racing in Saint-Malo marks a key stage of the World Diam Tour France, while across the Atlantic, a new Sailing Academy has been launched in Saint-Martin, reflecting the growing appeal of the Diam 24od.

At the same time, the Class continues its collective work on sail one-design, a crucial topic to ensure fair competition and preserve the spirit of the series.

World Diam Tour France 2025, Stage 4: FastNet wins in a historic Saint-Malo leg

Last weekend, the Diam 24od fleet gathered in Saint-Malo for the fourth stage of the World Diam Tour France 2025, superbly organized by the Yacht Club de Saint-Lunaire, in partnership with the SNBSM and the city of Saint-Malo.

Over three days of racing and 12 heats, consistency made the difference. Fastnet claimed victory overall, ahead of Andiamo, with Opteamwork completing the podium.

The fight was incredibly close: on the final morning, the top four teams were separated by just two points! Proof of the fleet's competitiveness, with five different crews each taking at least one race win.

This stage was also marked by the arrival of new crews coming from the F18 class, delighted to discover a one-design boat that's truly "ready to sail," combining performance with simple logistics.

Racing in Saint-Malo added a special dimension: a legendary venue, perfectly suited for both short-course racing and coastal raids, offering a playing field that was as demanding as it was spectacular. And to capture these moments, we had the privilege of welcoming Pierrick Contin, whose stunning photos showcased both the action and the beauty of the site.

Everyone left with a smile, filled with emotions... and carrying home some incredible images to share.

A big thank you to the organizers, partners, and to Pêcherie Escoffier and Team Fastnet for helping deliver such a well-run and spirited event.

New Sailing Academy in Saint-Martin: the Diam24od in the Spotlight

A new dynamic in Saint-Martin: Launch of a Sailing Academy Dedicated to the Diam24od. At the heart of the project is a passionate sailor who chose this high-performance one-design trimaran to introduce fast sailing to a wider audience.

Why the Diam24 in Saint-Martin?

The founder, Miha Krumpak, explains:
"Sailing a Diam24od is no leisurely cruise. This boat is built for speed and precision — the same platform that powered the Tour Voile and helped train an incredible number of today's top sailing champions. With steady trade winds, turquoise waters, and plenty of open space to accelerate, Saint-Martin is the perfect playground to unleash its full potential."

His idea is simple: to offer both seasoned sailors and newcomers a unique experience that's sporty, accessible, and set against one of the most stunning backdrops in the world.

An academy designed for all profiles

The Sailing Academy isn't just for seasoned racers. It's open to a wide range of sailors, including:

  • Dinghy or keelboat sailors looking to transfer their skills to a faster platform
  • Multihull enthusiasts (F18, Tornado, etc.) curious to test the stability and power of a trimaran
  • Absolute beginners discovering sailing for the first time on a modern, safe, and exhilarating boat

Whatever the background, everyone will find the right challenge, with no barriers to entry.

A variety of programs

The Academy will offer:

  • Discovery outings to feel that first rush of acceleration
  • Regular, structured training sessions to build skills
  • Local regattas, including "stadium racing" in Grand Case Bay — a natural amphitheater that guarantees a spectacular show for both sailors and spectators onshore.

A clear vision: building a strong community

Behind the Academy lies a strong conviction: the Diam24od is not only thrilling to sail, it also brings people together.

"What I want to share is that adrenaline — the pure joy of sailing fast in a stunning setting. The Diam24od makes it possible to experience that as a team, sharing strong emotions. That's what will grow the community."

With this initiative, Saint-Martin is positioning itself not only as a key stop on the World Diam Tour Caribbean, but also as a development hub for the Class.

Diam 24 One Design Class Rules - Chapter 1: Sails, the "Engine" of the Boat!

Since the Diam24od measurement rules partially resemble those of other monotypes, we thought it would be useful to summarize the essentials to better understand their philosophy.

This is the first episode in a series dedicated to the "Class Rules."

Let's start with what makes the boat move: Sails, the engine of the D24od!

1 - Strict One-Design: The DNA of the Diam24od

Calling all Diam24od owners: the youth want to sail!

Lately, more and more young sailors have been reaching out through the crew exchange. They're motivated and eager — a great opportunity for Diam24od owners who need extra hands to complete their crew and join the World Diam Tour!

As a reminder, most crews on the current circuit benefit from a mix of ages, which works really well. And it's worth noting: for a dynamic class, age diversity is great... but gender diversity is even better! Just saying...
