The Dutch Sailing Federation and Musto, the world's number one performance sailing brand, are extending their successful collaboration through to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Team Allianz, the national sailing team selected by the Dutch Sailing Federation, will continue to be outfitted in Musto's high-performance sailing and surfing gear both on and off the water.
Innovation as a performance accelerator
As with all its #TeamMusto ambassador partnerships, this relationship with Team Allianz is about more than just clothing, it's about innovation and development. Team Allianz's top athletes provide feedback on materials, fit, and movement from training sessions and competitions, which Musto's leading designers then use to innovate new materials and designs. These innovations are integrated into Musto's collections which ensures that anyone, as well as other top sailors, who choose Musto clothing benefit from thousands of hours of testing by the world's best athletes in the toughest conditions.
Arno van Gerven, Director of the Dutch Sailing Federation: "To remain at the top of the world, we must continuously improve. With Musto, we have a partner who shares that ambition and equips our Team Allianz athletes with technical clothing that allows us to maintain a competitive edge on the water every day. In addition, this partnership also enables us to outfit our volunteers in Musto gear, a meaningful gesture of appreciation that boosts pride and team spirit."
Musto: global innovation partner
As a partner of the Dutch Sailing Federation, World Sailing, the Royal Yachting Association, and the British Sailing Team, Musto is firmly connected to the pinnacle of international sailing. Its collaboration with the Dutch Sailing Federation highlights the importance of joint innovation, from material development to new product lines that are first tested in the Olympic arena before becoming available to a broader community of athletes.
Nick Houchin, Marketing Director at Musto: "Innovation makes the difference between winning and losing. That's why we are delighted to continue our collaboration with Team Allianz, who delivered such outstanding performances last year in Marseille. Working alongside this professional sailing team allows us to develop cutting-edge apparel for Olympic champions and the next generation of sailors alike."
In the sail bag
In warm conditions, Team Allianz sailors wear Musto's Flexlite Vapour 1.0 wetsuits on the water. For colder weather, they carry the Flexlite Alumin 3.0 wetsuit. Wind- and kite-foilers are equipped with the newly introduced Flexlite Dynamic 4/3 MM steamer. A favorite among all athletes is the Musto Champ Aqua Hoodie, which can be worn over the wetsuit to stay warm before, between, and after races. Sailors also use the Musto Champ Buoyancy Aid, Musto's ergonomically designed buoyancy vest. Coaches remain dry and warm in their Musto MPX apparel, while onshore the entire team wear Musto's BR1 Primaloft Midlayer jacket.
