AMAALA Yacht Club proudly flew the flag for Saudi Arabia at the prestigious Monaco Classic Week 2025, sailing aboard the iconic Black Swan, a 40.1- meter ketch with a storied history dating back to 1899.

Rosanna Chopra, Executive Director of Red Sea Global—the developer behind the Red Sea Destinations including AMAALA shared her enthusiasm for the event:

“It has been an honor and pleasure to be part of Monaco Classic Week 2025. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Yacht Club de Monaco for hosting such a beautiful event and for the warm welcome extended to our delegation from Saudi Arabia. At AMAALA Yacht Club, we are committed to becoming a world-renowned yachting destination, offering exceptional facilities, ideal sailing conditions, and genuine hospitality. We are writing a new chapter for the Red Sea, one that looks boldly to the future while remaining deeply rooted in maritime heritage. These themes resonate strongly with Monaco Classic Week and were felt throughout the marina and racecourse.”

Bernard d’Alessandri, Yacht Club de Monaco General Secretary said “I am delighted that the AMAALA Yacht Club has chosen to join us for Monaco Classic Week. This event is about more than just a regatta; it is a celebration of the "Art de Vivre la Mer", where tradition informs our vision for the future. In order to know where we are going, we must first understand where we come from. By welcoming international delegations, we are reminded that yachting is a universal language that transcends borders and brings people and generations together.”.

Adrian Peet, General Manager of AMAALA Yacht Club, added: “Monaco Classic Week has been a wonderful celebration of yachting. We’ve built new friendships and showcased our commitment to ocean stewardship. On board Black Swan, we were joined by a vibrant mix of sailing enthusiasts, including Mr.Hassan Kabbani, Chairman of the Saudi Sailing Federation, Olympic champions, Volvo Ocean Race winners, first-time sailors, ship captains, industry experts, chefs, and prominent business leaders all coming together to celebrate the spirit of sailing.”

AMAALA Yacht Club is currently represented by Team AMAALA in The Ocean Race Europe, a team with a mission to introduce a new, young, generation to ocean racing, and is actively working toward achieving Yacht Club de Monaco’s prestigious La Belle Classe Destination certification.
