The still very severe weather conditions in the Bay of Biscay, in terms of wind strength and sea conditions, on Tuesday 2nd September and Wednesday 3rd September, do not allow the GLOBE40 prologue to start before Thursday 4th September.

This new start is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. local time in the Coureaux de Groix, with a departure from the pontoons of Lorient La Base at 2:00 p.m.; depending on the path of the last expected front, this time may change by a few hours during the evening.

A race briefing is scheduled for Thursday 4th September at 9:00 a.m. in Lorient at the race office.

The first Class40s is expected to finish in Cadiz on the evening of Monday 8th September.

Our thanks to everyone in Lorient and Cadiz who has supported us in managing the programme changes.
