The second day of racing successfully concluded at the 2025 Suzuki ILCA Master European Championships in Hayling Island, Great Britain.

The day began with a 2-hour postponement on shore due to lack of wind. However, the breeze gradually picked up in the afternoon, reaching 8-9 knots, which allowed both scheduled races to be completed for all fleets. Afterward, competitors returned to the club to enjoy pasta pots, beer, lively conversations, and some well-deserved relaxation and debriefing.

In the ILCA 6, local sailor Jon Emmett GBR secured the top spot after finishing second in both races today. He now leads both the overall and Masters' fleets with 5 points, just one point ahead of overnight leader Maura Dewey CAN, who is now second overall, as well as the leader in both the Apprentice Masters and Women's categories. The third overall position is held by Men's Apprentice Masters leader Ross Harvey GBR with 11 points.

Jose Maria Van der Ploeg ESP and Steve Cockerill GBR are fourth and fifth overall, leading the GGM and GM championships respectively.

The ILCA 7 also has a new leader, Orlando Gledhill GBR, who now heads the overall and Masters' fleet with 9 points. Lennart Cnossen NED secured second place overall and the top spot in the Grand Masters' category, sitting just two points behind the overall leader. The Great Grand Masters' championship is currently led by Spain's Jose Luis Doreste Blanco ESP, who is in third place overall with 12 points.

Ian Elliott SWE leads the Apprentice Masters, holding fourth place overall with 13 points. Overnight leader Roger Schulz GER is now ranked sixth overall with 17 points.

Racing will continue every day until Friday, June 20th, when the new Master European champions will be crowned. A total of 128 sailors from 19 countries are being part of the competition.
