It was the Guardia di Finanza team that won this first stage of the 5th edition of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, followed by the Marina Militare team and the Goztepe Yelken team from Turkey that won third place.

For the WASZP category, the victory went to the Marina Militare team, followed respectively by the Royal Madras team and the Ocean Cruising team that closed the podium.

The PROMED long-term research project "Metropolitan Dolphins", presented to the crews today, is coming aboard the Nastro Rosa Tour. From Cattolica to Genoa, alongside the Tour, it will become "Metropolitan Dolphins with the Pink Ribbon" to monitor marine mammals in the Mediterranean, through photo identification, directly involving the sailing teams, confirming the versatility of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour.

The welcome from the municipality of Cattolica for the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour was great and warm, a unique opportunity to promote the excellence of the territory in the context of an innovative and international sporting event.

Dr. Riccardo Simoneschi, President of SSI Sports & Events, extended special thanks to the Mayor of Cattolica, Dr. Franca Foronchi, to the FIV Zone 11 Committee which appointed Dr. Daniele Verni as President of the Regatta Committee, to the Yacht Club Marina di Cattolica, to the Cattolica nautical club and to the Riccione city sailing center for assistance and support at sea and on land during the regattas and for the FIV Hospitality.

Organized by Difesa Servizi in collaboration with the Navy and SSI Sports & Events, with the support of ENIT-Italian Tourism Agency, main partner of the tour, of the Italian Sailing Federation, the patronage of Coni and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers-Department for Sport as institutional partner.

The 5th edition of the Giro dell'Italia a vela, through the concept "Italy seen from the Sea", is not only a sporting event, but a celebration of the beauty, culture, and values of our country. With a strong focus on sustainability and the enhancement of traditions, the initiative represents an opportunity to unite coastal communities and celebrate Italianness in all its forms thanks also to the support of Enit, the main partner of the tour.

Now we head towards Vieste, crossing the Sant'Eufemia Lighthouse, included in the Valore Paese Italia - Lighthouses project, to enhance these structures by creating accommodation facilities, respecting the landscape and the environment, in coastal contexts chosen for their absolute beauty and maximum fragility. It is an initiative launched in 2015, for the recovery and reuse of assets along the coast for tourism, hospitality and cultural purposes, in line with the principles of sustainable tourism and the culture of the sea, respectful of the landscape and in line with environmental protection.
