by Prow Media 14 May 15:18 PDT 10-17 May 2025

Day 3 of the Dragon World Championship by Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brought another day of top-level competition in Vilamoura, as the international fleet completed two races as scheduled.

The first race saw wind from 240 degrees at 12 knots and a sea state of up to 1 metre. Conditions intensified for the second race, with wind shifting to 270 degrees at 14 knots and waves reaching 2 metres.

Sailors faced tactical and physical challenges, making the most of every shift and opportunity on the racecourse. With clear skies, conditions rewarded precision and experience.

After today's action, the provisional top three overall standings are:
1. TUR 12 - PROVEZZA DRAGON - Andy Beadsworth, Simon Fry, Enes Çaylak
2. SUI 355 - GINKGO RACING - Jan Eckert, Torvar Mirsky, Frederico Melo
3. GBR 833 - LOUISE RACING - Grant Gordon, Anton Dahlberg, Chris Grube, Faye Chatterton

As the fleet edges closer to the final stages of the championship, the battle at the top continues to tighten. Tactical decisions and steady performance remain crucial for those aiming for the podium.

Tomorrow's schedule includes two more races, with the first warning signal planned for 13:00, subject to weather conditions.

To round off the day, sailors and teams gathered once again for a relaxed Happy Hour at the exclusive Club House, continuing the tradition of camaraderie and connection that defines this championship.
