The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX), together with Superyacht Australia has confirmed an impressive line-up of international and Australian speakers for the Australian Superyacht Conference (ASMEX), to be held 19-21 May at The Langham Gold Coast, Queensland.

Overseas, Metstrade, the world's largest trade exhibition for the leisure marine industry, is set to mark a significant new chapter as it prepares for its 37th edition in 2025. Marking an historic first the event will occupy the entire RAI Amsterdam complex to provide a more spacious layout with numerous advantages.

From the sailing sector, Australian Sailing Chief Executive Officer Ben Houston has announced his departure from the position he has held for six years. Houston led the development of a comprehensive ten-year organisational strategy Sailing 2032+, the sustainable management of the organisation through the Covid period and delivered the Australian Sailing High Performance and Pathway Strategy which delivered three Olympic Gold medals and a silver medal at two Olympic Games.

The NSW Government is charting the course for Port Stephens to become a global sailing destination when Newcastle Airport's upgraded international terminal opens in August. The region's pristine waters have once again welcomed thousands of sailors and spectators to Sail Port Stephens, one of Australia's largest regattas, proudly supported by the NSW Government's tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Matt Allen AM, a distinguished figure in Australian sport, has once again demonstrated his unwavering support for sailing by generously matching the Australian Olympic Committee's Medal Incentive Funding (MIF) for Olympic champion Matt Wearn and Paris 2024 silver medallist Grae Morris. The AOC's MIF program is designed to support elite athletes as they prepare for the 2028 Olympic Games, easing financial pressure so they can focus on training and performance.
